My uncle blessed me with a Lego® Brick Box at the age of 6. It eventually taught me how a mechanical transmission works and, once you can comprehend that sort of thing, nothing is too difficult to build. I’ve been deconstructing, rebuilding and creating things ever since. Like the electric cycle that I built - for free. Or the splint I 3D printed for a friends’ broken finger. Or the various jobs my arachnid army is engaged in… and the list gets more esoteric, if you’re interested.
